Day 1 - Arrival in Reykjavik and Walking Tour

Guided Walking Tour of Reykjavik

Meet in the lobby, get to know each other, and do a professionally guided walking tour of Reykjavik. A walking tour of Reykjavík showcases a compact mix of culture, history, and scenic beauty. Start at Hallgrímskirkja for sweeping city views, then stroll down Rainbow Street into the lively Laugavegur shopping area. Continue to the waterfront to see the striking Harpa Concert Hall and the elegant Sun Voyager. Wander past Alþingi and relax by Tjörnin near Reykjavík City Hall. Along the way, enjoy colorful houses, street art, cozy cafés, and a welcoming Nordic atmosphere.

Day 2 - Golden Circle, Thingvellir, Geothermal Bread, Geysers & Waterfalls

Experience Iceland’s famous Golden Circle with visits to Thingvellir National Park, the erupting geysers of the Geysir geothermal area, spectacular Gullfoss Waterfall, and the unique Friðheimar tomato greenhouse.

Thingvellir National Park Visit

Thingvellir National Park is the site of the founding of the oldest democracy in Europe. Walk through a geologic chasm where Europe splits with North America.

Geothermal Bread-Baking Demonstration

If time permits, we will attend an outdoor geothermal bread-baking demonstration.

Lunch at Hydroponic Tomato Farm

Enjoy lunch at a hydroponic tomato farm with hot tomato soup and other treats. Lunch is not included in the price.

Geysers, Waterfalls, and Icelandic Ponies

See spouting geysers, enormous waterfalls, and the famous Icelandic ponies.

Northern Lights Hunt

Tonight, if the conditions are right, we go out for a hunt of the Northern Lights. If we don’t see them tonight, we will go out subsequent nights to see them until the trip is over.

Day 3 - Free Day in Reykjavik

Perlan Nature Exploratorium, Hallgrimskirkja Church, Harpa Concert Hall, Whale Watching, Museums, Markets, Restaurants and Shops

Free day in Reykjavik

A free day in Reykjavik. There is plenty to see and do in this very walkable town. Visit the local flea market. The Settlement Museum depicts the settlement of Iceland. There are interesting churches, shops, food markets too.

Day 4 - South Coast Day Trip

Volcanoes, Glaciers, Waterfalls and Black Sand Beaches

A day trip to the remote and stunning South Coast of Iceland is a day trip most tourists never see, but all those who go remember. Bring your camera. Volcanoes, black sand beaches, waves smashing against the rocks, towering waterfalls, and icy glaciers are all on today’s itinerary.

Day 5 - Blue Lagoon and Departure

Relax at Blue Lagoon and Depart Iceland

Pack up and check out of hotel

In the morning at about 11 a.m. we pack up and check out of the hotel for our private van to take us to the Blue Lagoon.

Blue Lagoon Premium Experience

A premium experience at the Blue Lagoon provides the bather with towels, a robe, slippers and a free drink while enjoying the wonderful geothermal springs.

Departure from Blue Lagoon to airport

We depart from the Blue Lagoon to the airport at about 2:15 pm.
